Hustle

in the morning we all wake up early

face the scorching sun like in kalahari

some of us come from far places

that make Australia look like few minutes

and with that i mean places like Rongai

and the metropolitan Githurai

we all head to the city

a city which has no pity

but only favors the witty 

our main objective is to hustle

where all of us engage their muscle

in order to get the parcel

but i wonder what it means to hustle

because a CEO is called a hustler

a tout is also a hustler

Kenyan deputy president is also a hustler

a drug baron is also a hustler

but all the same, we are looking for money in a bustle

I wish it never happened
i wish it never ended
and the way we blended
i never thought it would come to a stand still
giving me this kind of a feel
and the pain it instills

i thought we were so perfect
now your calling me a ratchet
you exclude me in your budget
my emotions were embedded to you
i assumed that this happens to others
now i am bombarded with dreaded afflictions
which i fail to give their descriptions

aah ha ah... now i see
the love line is vast as the sea
it is not the time to flee
but to recollect and build
never mind what it will yield

Government's Ear

 Wave to the governments ear
 For we drown in lots of fear
start with the looming era of crime
but what the government does is  to mime
a series of attacks with terrorism blasts
where is the government that we trust
episodes of many homicides and suicides
but the government is on whose side
severe natural disasters and global warming
which hit us without the government's warning
Gross corruption and public resource wastage
is what government official's usually engage
can someone wave to the government's  ear
for we need to cast away our fear

everyday I breathe
i learn new tactics to live
i may live in grieve
and all my day is frown
deep in thoughts i drown
wandering all alone in this town

many a times am so gloomy
complaining about what has been done to me
is it that everyone wrongs me?
or am i the jury with no verdict
trying to hold everyone convict
putting suspects into slain
passing a judgement full of pain

crying out for justice
is what i do  practice?
